The Idea Behind The Idea of You
Reflecting on the film’s themes, Hathaway shares, “we wanted to make a movie that would make audiences feel wonderful by telling a story about people who are a pleasure to know and are fun to watch together.”
Director Showalter adds, “it’s about something. I think, in our own small way, we’re commenting on how we, as a society, look at other people’s choices, and rush to judgment and want to have opinions about what other people choose to do with their relationships.
