Who would forget Penthouse Live! I was in my highschool years when it was first televised. The Penthouse Live! is a Philippine Television Variety Show broadcast by GMA Network every Sunday to be exact. It premiered on August 29, 1982 replacing Penthouse Seven. When the show included the comic skit segment Donya Buding, a social commentator portrayed by Nanette Inventor, the show became a phenomenon in itself. The show concluded on February 15, 1987. Most of the audience are students who are from private schools. So they cater Class A audiences. They also featured great dancers like Tigers with Jojo Alejar & Co. and it’s very own Penthouse Live Dancers. The love affair of Martin and Pops also started there and blossomed. Until they got married. A lot of fans was witness to their relationship and my sister is a testimony to that 🤣🤣🤣.
But eventually time chamge , people changa and circumstances happen without our plan. So they have 2 adult children Robin and Ram now which Pops cared and nurtured. While Martin has his own family and Santino. It was a wonderful blogcon because Pops explained her true feelings now and hoe she accepted the situation. They had a Christmas Family Dinner together with Katrina, Santino and Martin. And the Pops felt the peace in het heart.
When Pops was asked, how come she decided to produce a concert with Martin? She said the chemistry is still there and in their career and relationship “The Music Never Ends”. While with Martin he wanted Pops to soar with her career and wants to help her. So the fans will remembers songs that will also bring back memories to them.
On Valentine‘s 2020. Starmedia Entertainment and DSL. Events and Production House. in association With Solaire Resort and Casino. are very excited to bring back on one stage the country’s most iconic concert royalties. The Concert King. The pair that captured the hearts of many on and off-stage are finally coming together again for seven spectacular shows on February 14. 15. 17. 18. 19. 20. and 21. 2020 at The Theatre at Solaire.
Fresh from their successful 8-city US tour last August that had an equally successful
repeat a few months after in December, fans in Manila also clamored for their turn to Witness the much-awaited comeback of the Concert King and Concert Queen.
Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez respectively gained their fame as individual performers. but it was when they both hosted the famous TV variety show “Penthouse Live!” that fans became captivated by their chemistry and followed their on and off screen romance.
Despite a shift in their love story. Martin and Pops remain very good friends today but they undeniably still have that same magnetic chemistry when they perform together on stage.
it has been ten long years since Martin and Pops reunited and headlined a major concert in Manila on Valentine’s day of 2010 and it’s about time that they come TWOGETHER AGAIN for a Valentine special a decade after!
No doubt. many fans are eagerly waiting and very excited to see this iconic tandem perform together again. live! With grandiose production numbers. their engaging rapport with the audience. and just the “kilig” we all get from The Concert King and Queen. TWOGETHER AGAIN is sure to be a treat for everyone this Valentine’s!
Seasons have passed. things have changed but Martin and Pops still prove that together. they are still SENSATlONAL!
